At the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018, Sortimo presents possibilities for optimum workplace organization to the Trade Fair visitors, which can be realized by means of simple organization and a good overview of tools and materials using self-configurable tool inlays. The foam inlays provide the great benefit of a structured and organized stowage of high-quality tools and provide for quick, simple and ergonomic removal thanks to the integrated recessed grip. It is possible to immediately recognize missing tools due to the two-coloured finish of the inlay. Forgetting tools at the place of operation or at the workshop is now a thing of the past.

Sortimo has made it possible that the inlay can be configured in such a way that the user can individually put it together to completely meet their needs. The format of the inlay matches the Sortimo Insetboxes modular grid, consequently, the tool inlays can be completely individually combined with the Insetboxes for improved organization and increased productivity.   At the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 Sortimo will display a showcase of the online-service mySortimo inlays, showing exactly how the tool inlay can be configured to meet the precise requirements of the customer.  

Sortimo has perfected the organization of the work environment with mySortimo labels both in the vehicle and in the workshop. As using the labels Sortimo BOXXes, Cases, Insetboxes and standard shelves can be individually labelled and can be provided with an additional colour code for optical identification and differentiation.

mySortimo labels enable quicker access to the contents due to a better overview and at the same time give an organized impression in the vehicle and in the interior of cases and BOXXes.  

Customers have the possibility on mySortimo, to configure labels via mySortimo configuration directly in connection with their SR5 van racking system configuration which is supported on mySortimo by synchronizing inventory lists. That way the customer gets his vehicle back turnkey ready and including his individual labelling.  

The labels provide an important foundation for standardized and systematic working and thus contribute to an enormous efficiency increase during day-to-day work.  

5S-Method

The Japanese method 5S stands for the five terms sorting, systemize/arrange, cleanse, standardize and self-discipline.  With the SR5 van racking system Sortimo provides their customers with all the necessary prerequisites for an optimum workplace structure under this methodology:  

Sorting: Tradesmen and service technicians have sufficient stowage space among the numerous shelves, drawers and in the SR-BOXXes of the SR5 shelving system as well as an optimum overview of the transported goods at the same.  Furthermore, SR5 supports the identification of unused tools and small components and to sort these out if necessary.

Systemizing: Systematic organization in the vehicle optimizes workflow and minimizes automatically search and access times.   An individual configuration synchronized with the workflow as well the intelligent arrangement of items supports efficient access to the contents. That way everything has its position by using the Sortimo inlays and missing tools are noticed immediately due to the two-coloured finish of the inlays.    

Shining: A structured in the SR5 van racking system enables simple cleaning of the loading space without tidying up first. Furthermore, a clean vehicle is the best flagship for an organized working procedure.  

Standardizing: Sortimo provides tradesmen with an optimum solution for the standardization of their work processes.  Affiliation, type and content of case and BOXXes can be clearly identified via colour codes with the mySortimo labels. Standardizing

Setting standards in your vehicle and workshop? Sortimo provides you with the perfect solution to do so! The use of colour codes identifies where things belong at a glance. The structure can be individually defined. For instance, you might structure the system according to the type of content (e.g. tools, consumables, etc., and/or screws, rawlplugs, etc.), according to vehicle or employee(e.g. Red = Employee A, Green = Employee B, etc.) or based on your own individual ideas. The systematic use of standard cases and BOXXes also makes it possible to standardize and ensure that everything fits together! Universal lashing points

Floor plate

The 7-ply glued wooden floor has a thickness of 9 mm and is made of Nordic birch. Its multi-directional textured coating makes the moisture-resistant floor scratch-resistant and extremely non-slip even in wet conditions.

Original lashing points

The vehicle’s original lashing points remain available using the integrated flush lashing points in the floor, and are compatible with ProSafe.

Sorting

Storage space and payloads are limited, particularly in your vehicle. Another reason to transport just the things you actually need. The SR-BOXXes, which are unique in their functionality, can be integrated both on and under the shelves in the van racking using the plastic slides, meaning that the available space is used to optimum effect. Small items and consumables can be stored here.

SR-Drawer

SR-Drawer As an innovative alternative to a drawer, the SR drawer offers the tried and tested Sortimo SR drawer function, but it can be removed completely at any time. Dividers and insetboxes offer varied opportunities for organization.

Aluminium side profiles

The sturdy and compact aluminium side profiles are the basis for each SR5 shelf and require just a small space on the vehicle floor. This ensures maximum load space usage so that large items can be conveyed without any problems in the vehicle. Varied accessories for all kinds of sectors and requirements are screwed to the aluminium side profiles at any height for stepless adjustment.

Shelves

The positioning of the shelves can be varied forwards and back­wards, which allows the SR5 shelf to be adapted to the contour of the vehicle to optimum effect. This ensures adequate space for the load and freedom of movement. The roof area which is other­wise hardly used is exploited to the maximum. The shelves are available in various different versions, which can be equipped with SR-BOXXes both above and below.
